Lawson Estate Agents boss Darren Lawson is celebrating the re-emergence of a rare property buying species, since lockdown restrictions were lifted.
The managing director of the Plymouth – based agency is delighted to see what he’s dubbed the ‘lesser spotted first time buyer’ returning to the local property market in droves.
They have been driving sales at both the agency’s Plymouth City and Plymouth North offices since the Government gave the green light to the property market to reopen for business.
“First time buyers are making up a healthy percentage of the plentiful sales results we have achieved since getting back to work,” said Darren.
” For so long out-muscled and out-manoeuvred by more experienced investment purchasers, it’s great to see the first time buyers back out in force once again.
‘After such a long period of uncertainty, in the face of the Covid 19 health crisis, it has given the business – and the staff- a much needed tonic.”
Such has been the demand, Darren has even brought forward to early July his plans to re-open both branches on a Saturday again – which came into play with a successful day of viewings on Saturday 4th July.
“I genuinely believed any notion of weekend opening was still some months away, given the gravity of the health emergency we have all faced,” said Darren.
“But there is clearly a demand among our customers to extend opening hours sooner than anticipated, which is excellent news for the business.
“Long may it continue too!”
