February is well known for being important in matters of the heart and as an estate agent at the heart of its community (excuse the pun), staff at Lawson Estate Agents have once again excelled!
Staff at the popular Plymouth Independent Estate Agent have taken part in a national challenge raising funds for the British Heart Foundation by pledging to run at least 100k each (62 miles) from Boxing Day until the 31st January.
Work colleagues Chris Mervyn, Tess Denley and Karen Sheather joined forces to take part in the #bhf100kchallenge and managed to achieve an impressive 510k (316 miles) over that time – in the process raising over £600 for this very deserving charity.
Company Marketing Director Chris Mervyn said the team relished the challenge and though it was hard physically, it gave them a kick start fitness wise and thanked all sponsors for their support.
“It was a great challenge to be involved in and congratulations to everyone for doing so well” said Chris.
“We had a real team push with personal challenges on the way and we’d like to thank family, friends and the general public who have been so very supportive”
An incredible £65,000 (including gift aid) has been raised so far nationally with over 2,400 sponsors donating through JustGiving. The challenge saw over 250 people take part and was supported by Agents Giving, a charity set-up to support estate agents and worthwhile charitable causes.
The Just Giving page will remain open for a few weeks whilst further sponsorship is collected and if you’d like to donate to the team and the British Heart Foundation please click www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cm100k
