City and Guilds – Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment (6020-1)

Six day training course

• One day Health and Safety, soft skills
• One day construction identification
• Two day RdSAP
• Two day property visits (4 properties in total)

The six day training will be run over consecutive days.
The assessment period for portfolio building starts following the completion of the course. The standard assessment period lasts for up to four weeks (but may be completed much sooner).
The candidate is required to provide a minimum of five Domestic Energy Assessments to a commercial standard on the following.

One property from each of the following age bands:

• Pre 1949
• 1950-81
• 1982-95
• 1996-2002
• Post 2002

One of each of the following property types must be completed across the age bands above

• Terrace/semi
• Detached
• Flat/Maisonette

Five of the following six issues must be covered across the range of Domestic Energy Assessments

• Property with:
• Extension
• Room In the roof
• Conservatory
• Alternate Wall type
• Solid Wall
• Converted non domestic

Candidates are expected to source their own properties for inspection however we will provide 4, of which 2 can be used for the assessment process.
